Like a Diamond in the Sky

Helping my son out with his 4th grade project:

He needed a 3d diamond display.

So its almost 40" across and 36" tall.  Here its sitting in the kitchen inside a laundry basket.

I haven't attached the top to the bottom yet.

Mrs. Knug and the boys came home from their trip.  The boys loved it.  Mrs. Knug looked at me and asked how I was going to get something with a minimum dimension of 36" out of the house, when the largest door is 30" ?

Ummmmmmmm.

Thankfully, I hadn't attached the top half of the shape to the lower part, so it'll have to stay in two separate pieces for transport.

Now I have to figure out how to make it stable when in two halves.

I was about to start spouting off, but I won't put my oar in the water over the latest source of drama for the bitter vets in EVE.  Not yet.  Lets just say I will add my two cents once the bile has stopped flowing and folks might be willing to consider another opinion.
